It’s very nice to meetcha :) My name is Pepper. Here are a list of things list of things I know for sure: - I love lists. - I am a nice Jewish girl from New Yawk. I was born in Manhattan, am originally from Queens, and I grew up on Long Island. According to everyone else around me, I have the accent to prove it. - I am a singer. When I’m on stage singing, I feel like I’m in a meditative state, while also having an adrenaline rush. I started studying voice at the age of six and singing at open mic nights all around New York starting at age 12. My Dad would drive me to local bookstores, Pete’s Candy Shop, The Bitter End and by 14, Amature Night at The Apollo Theatre. - By 16, I wrote a five song demo cd, and started to cold call people in the industry. At 18, I graduated high school early and moved to LA. - I’m 21 now, and live between New York and LA. - I am a resilient, authentic songwriter. My Mom, Lisa, passed away from lung cancer when I was 15. She was my biggest cheerleader. When she died, writing lyrics, poems and songs became my way of coping through that trauma and grief, and still is. I write about fun stuff too though. - I stick to my word. Before she died, my Mom made me promise her that I would keep “doing what I’m doing, and singing my heart out,” or she would “find a way” to “have words” with me. She was from New Jersey. So, I’m going to be singing my heart out until I just simply have nothing left to say. - I’m very happy to be here.
